The Storyteller is named because next door, two of the country’s most recognized authors lived, Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe, when Hartford was known as a mecca for publishing.
In renovating this building, great detail was made to honor the beauty of Mark Twain’s house by restoring the exterior cedar shingles, intricate wood trim, and stunning circular porches. The original exterior colors of the property were also brought back, and the property is once again a worthy neighbor and a landmark in the West End.
Inside the building, you will find unique modern apartments; each has its character. Our office calls 293 - C1 "Mary Poppins" because of the views of the building's chimneys and roof lines observed from the third-floor fire escape door.
The layouts offer a separate living room space, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Everything inside the building is brand new: electrical, plumbing, flooring, kitchens, bath, high-efficient natural gas heating, walls, doors, windows, hardware, fire alarm, and the list goes on. You will be the first to live in this newly renovated building. Another plus is that the builder installed all new hardwood floors throughout the building. Likewise, all the kitchens have quartz counters. All the bathrooms are oversized and have easy-to-clean fiberglass shower/tub combos and chrome fixtures.
This unit is the largest one-bedroom available here at Storyteller Apartments!
